Our maintenance and support services include items that are unique to our mission of providing database driven web sites. Database BackupOur servers provide a super-reliable disk subsystem (a Raid 5 stripe set with parity). With this configuration, any one disk can fail without stopping the system. We have configured the system to inform us immediately if there is a disk failure so that we can replace the failed disk. In addition, we backup all database files to tape each business day. Each week, retrieve the previous week’s backup tapes and store them off-site. In addition, we regularly monitor the performance of our database servers and maintain indices to maintain optimal performance. Help Desk ServicesEach month, we provide Technical Support for dozens of active clients. They rely on us, not only for hosting, but also for membership processing, event-registration, payment-processing, and billing services.
